UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Can someone please help. I have just bought a new shape Polo the head unit in it was Sony CDX-L420V radio was ok but could not pick up any of my local FM stations. I have just fitted a new Blaupunkt Toronto MP73(Los Angeles MP72) and the same thing is happing can pickup all the main FM stations but no local FM stations. Any ideas whats wrong?

It might need an antenna booster.

I remember in my 6n, I replaced my Sony with a Pioneer and that had to have a booster fitted.

I can't quite remember the name of it, but most VW's come with a boosted antenna, cause this works with a 12V current you normally have to get an adaptor to go between the radio and the aerial...
