1983 Vw Polo Saloon. !!!FREE!!!

I bought this at some point last year with the intention of getting it back on the road. However I work such long hours now that its never going to happen and its taking up valuable driveway space so it has to go!
It is a 1983 Volkswagen Polo Classic C 1098cc. The colour is green however the car will require a full respray as the last owner decided a tin of nitromors was the answer to a car of this age and promptly stripped alot of it off. The remaining paint is also fooked!
The car did run when I bought it however a few coolant pipes have been nicked so it now cant be driven, although when running it goes pretty well. I drove it back from Littlehampton without any drama. It has the typical cold start problem (probably the carb) and a hole in the downpipe, however, I have a replacement downpipe which will be included in the sale.
The previous owner in another moment of wisdom decided to cut the springs (all different lengths) so it will need new springs.
Bodywork wise, apart from needing a respray the panels arent too bad. Except the drivers door which is dented and the drivers side front wing which has had a home made Louvre cut into it then been kicked in by the looks of things. I will include a replacement drivers door and wing in the sale aswell. Just below the passenger side rear window the panel has rusted through (this is a common place to rust on Loons) so that will need a patch welding in.
Interior is quite sparse in there. Again the previous owner removed the door cards, handles etc. There is no rear seat and the front seats have worn through to the stuffing.
The car has no MOT but is Taxed till the end of April. The MOT expired on 29th November 2007. The car has done approx 150,000 miles and I have all MOTS going back to 1987!!! I have a huge stack of reciepts for work done, and the original service book with stamps and signatures in it for services that have been done! There is also the original instruction book for the car in its original blue VW wallet! I am the 7th owner of the Loon.
This car is free to whoever can collect it ASAP!!!
The sale does not include the square headlamps, roofrack, short rear bumper or rear seats.
