Hi. I have an ealy 9N3 with 1.4L petrol engine.
I've been trying to remove the huge plastic engine cover but without much success. When shakeing it with mild force it seems to be securly fastened. I cant seem to locate any clips bults or screws. How do I remove it?

FWIW my Mothers Polo 9N is a 1.4 (Auto) and the engine cover simply 'pulls up wards' as it rests on what I can only describe is pressure clips (like donuts). Be firm and positive in your tugging and it will give. Try around the corners first and you should be fine.
