Was pretty bored today so my mate gave me a riddle. Thought it was pretty good so i thought i'd share it with you! here we go:

A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet.

With every guess i need a name and a motive??!!

It was the maid because theres no mail on sunday

Try this:

What is greater than God,
More evil than the devil,
The poor have it,
The rich don't need it,
And if you eat it, you'll die?

Nothing!

Heres Another, this i didn't even get!

There are three light bulbs in a room, and three light switches outside the room. You are outside, and want to match up which switch goes with which light bulb. You can only travel into the room once, and cannot come back in again. You can do anything you want upon entering the room. How can you set the situation so that you will know which switch goes with which light bulb?

dont bother going into the room just look through the door/window/however you get into the room and turn the lights on one by one. And viola you can view the light bulbs from the safety of the switches.

Haha, that was also one my first guesses but afraid not mate! Keep trying!

Just to add there's no possible way of seeing the light from outside. No little cracks in the door, no windows nothing!

well since you can do anything you want in the room. Go in ring your mate and say "oi start flipping them light switches" while you stand in the room and observe. I hate difficult riddles they play on my mind til i find out the answer.

Nice try. but keep guessing!

When you walk in you 100% know which bulb goes with which switch.

Switch one switch on, leave one off and half switch the other one on, like where the switch is paralell to the plastic behind. It kindof makes the light flicker if you do it.

That was also one of my guesses, but it doesn't actually work! , I tired it!
