I am looking to buy some coil overs for my GTi but know there is a lot of choice, and obviously a big difference in prices. The car has 16" bbs rx11's on and am mainly wanting to fit them so i can lower the car on to them, not bothered about it being sat on ot ar$e, want something that is going to keep some kide of ride comfort but also keep it tight on B roads. Any help would be brill.

I went with KW Variant 1's

Think they came to £680 supplied and fitted.

I have to agree with going with KW.

The only other coilovers i'd recommend would be H&R or Bilstein.

Get the Variant 2's. Thats what i'm running.

They are damping adjustable so you can adjust how hard/soft you want your ride.

You won't regret it!

Thanks for the quick replies, going to look into prices when i have 10 minutes. Fitting wont be a problem, going to do that and full 4 wheel alignment myself.
Keep the recommendations coming though

If I had the choice again I'd go for the KW Variant 2 also. Had a ride in a GTi with them fitted and it was a lot better handling than my own FK Konigsport Silverlines :o

To be honest though the handling with Variant 1's aren't bad at all. How much more expensive are V2s?

Is it worth upgrading my 2.5 year old Konigsports in the near future then when I have money to burn?

If the V1s are around £680, then the V2s will be closer to £800
