Gearbox interchangeability

Hi there.

I've got a '96 Polo with a major gearbox problem. Sounds truly awful and it'll lock up suddenly and nearly launch you through the windscreen! Quite a thrill - especially if you've got someone close behind.

The car is a 6NZWY with a 1.6 AEE engine and a DCC gearbox (queerbox?)

My local breakers have a DFN from a '97 1.6 Polo, a DGF from a 98 1.6, and a DKZ from a '98 1.6.

Does anyone know if any of there will fit? Funnily, I've looked on Elsawin and none of these boxes appear to have been fitted to a Polo in those years.

Really appreciate any help and advice....
