recently iv decided i wanted a change completely from the wheels i had so i ordered some vw aristo alloys, as fitted to the polo gti cup edition on the continent, but not available to us uk dubbers over here to buy
the wheels are 7.5j x 17 and are made by borbet, not oz as i initially was informed, quality is fantastic and very lightweight, everything you would expect from OE parts really, they are wrapped up in 205x40x17 toyo proxes T1R and iv adjusted the suspension again slightly to suit the size of the wheels to give the look i wanted
before anyone asks, my comps are now sold and gone, iv had 2 sets now, both minters indifferent finishes, its just time for me to do something different
not a lot else has changed yet other than the wheels and iv had the drivers door de locked, i have a de locked boot handle on order too so will be super smooth when thats fitted, no nasty looking lock barrels in sight
anyway, less chat, here come the photos
so what does everyone think?

They look ok, nothing special imo.
What ET are they, the backs look to sit in more than mine, thought they were the exact same size as my wheels.

the offset is 38, as like the stock wheels but being 1j wider they stick out a further 13 mm more than the 16s
rich t - the drop is estimated at 50 mm all round now mate on eibach pro street s coils
grapo - what made you think they were the exact same as yours? i never said they were, think yours will be et 35, so yours will only stick out 3 mm more than mine anyway
corkpolo, thanks, and iv detailed my car with a megs g220 using sonus products and finished by hand using zymol products mate, hope that helps
kenny, im pleased with the new look too, really suit it i think, and are still OE parts, cleaning will take a bit more time yes, but the different look is worth it, the suspension is now 10 mm lower all round too,

i never meant it funny grapo mate, sorry if it read that way, but the tuck or poke will depend on the et as well as the size and width too

Its okay
Assumed they would have the same et also. Maybe the RW's have a slightly lower et because of the silly extended arches of the dune.

7.5 x 17 ET 35 rims, so only 3mm more towards the arch than the R-line rins.
