The 1.2 is a 3-pot engine too. This engine is available in 55 hp and 65 hp, both 3 cylinders but the quicker one has 12 valves instead of 6. So I'm pretty sure your car has 3 cylinders...

CHEERS I THINK IT IS 3 CYLINDERS AS IT IS A BIT RATTLEY AT ABOUT 4000 REVS

Yeah 3-cylinders tend to be somewhat less refined, how's the power though? Is 65hp enough for a 9N?

Oh, and:

Hit that button.

But its worth it, you get a nice little raw under the bonnet from hard acceleration :P

Yeah and decent fuel consumption probably too, right?

Well, due to the driving I do no. All the driving I do is out of town so fuel consumption is quite bad for what it is (about 38mpg average for me) though I'm sure its much better in town.

(p.s. I like your new picks :P )

I thought out of town driving meant better mileage than city driving, I know that's how it works for me anyway. You sure about that?
(Ps. I like your new pics :P )
Thanks! :D

Well, Its not the steady speeds that does it. Its mainly getting to those steady speeds. The fuel consumption is still quite bad either way so I'm gonna mention it to VW when it goes in for one of its (almost weekly!!) warranty repairs.

I second that! Nice 'n throaty above 3k...I like it!

And I expect the 65bhp variant has even go for the New Polo, seeing as the 55bhp one does! :D

Speedlaw, I'm pretty sure the 55bhp version has 8 cylinders, not 6. :)

STEVO, welcome mate :)

Ratty, I think you mean valves, not cylinders! If it had 8 cylinders it would be pretty good! ;) And if it's 3 cylinders it would have 6, not 8 valves.

Would that be a straight 8, W8 or V8?

But seriously, VW's website quoted it having 6 valves, not 8. It is a three cylinder after all, so having 8 valves would mean some cylinders share valves.

:D
