Hello,

Got a 2000 6n2 1.4 TDI, the problem I'm having is a strange sound when I start the car. The starter motor turns the car over with no problems at all, and the engine does start, only problem is I get a strange noise directly after its started (like a 'hooooooon'). I had a simliar problem with my MK4 Golf 1.6, I did change that starter motor but it continued.

Any ideas? Starter motor perhaps?

if it where me mate try and locate where the noise is coming from but really if its making noise its hard to put your finger on as i carnt hear it myself! i would have a garage look at it for you or some1 with better knowlege then go from there.
