Chewy`s Progress

Post by chewy »

Been a member on here for a bit now so its about time I got a progress thread going.

Got the polo back in August 07 1.4 16v sport. This is how it stood then

Then the only things I done were debadge the rear and paint the front badge black, with the inside red.

Then I got a set of 30mm springs from a member on here and they stood in my shed for about six weeks. I got them put on last weekend

Got a set of TT comps to go on once I get them refurbed with a diamond cut

I have some 10mm spacers for the rear and 5mm for the front, they came from a member on here too

Also got a pair of German plates off eBay and a set of 8000k hids also from another member on here

On the list to get done are, tt pedals, red callipers, red grill piping, colour code rear badge, votex kit.

Any ideas or comments welcome.

Nice work/plans so far mate.

Not too much of a fan of the front badge though sorry.

Are they profile 40 or 45 tyres on the comps?

The comps need new tyres, going 205/40 when I get round to it. As for the front badge I am not to sure myself some days I like it and other I dont, will just have to se how it goes

ah so you got the eibach's fitted then! Rides lovely on them doesn't it?
I still miss the comfort sometimes..... then I'd just miss the low-ness if I went back.

Car's looking alright fella, but i'd lose the front badge in favour of an all black or chrome one.

Yeah got them fitted lol, nice ride not to hard. Am thinking painting the red part of the badge was a bad idea, Will have to go and find a new one and start again I think. Going to seat this week to get a strut brace, and then need to get the comps done.

Have you thought about changing the red in the badge for the same colour as the car?

colour code the red bit and black the actual badge front.
that'l look good, i just think the red and grey dont do so looks a bit odd.
maybe with the red gti stripe it would look a little bit less odd. :)

All black or OEM chrome IMO.

Anything else just looks way too fussy.

The wheels are from an Audi TT, 17". I think a yellow badge would be a little ott. Just got myself a new front badge going to do it all black this time lol
