Hey Guys, My AirCon as always made a loudish "click" type noise when i turn it on, but it also makes it at times when changing from 1st to second quite alot of the time also? :-s i am guessing this isnt normal...

Not only that but now when the aircon is on, it makes a loudish windng type of sound...could this just mean it needs regassing or is it the pump maybe?

Can anyone shed some light on either of the noises my little money pit is making? haha

Thanks in advance :-)

the click sound when you turn it on is the clutch in the aircon pump engaging, which is nothing to worry about. as for the winding sound, if it comes and goes its probably the fan cutting in and out to control the heat of the aircon pipes. mine makes a squealing noise shortly after startup but only does it on the first cycle. this is the bearing in the pump on its way out.

To be honest i thought mine may have been a bearing problem aswell as its constant sound...any ideas of the damage £££ for repair or replacement?
