Anyone got any holiday plans yet?
I need to book time off at work and havn't got a clue where to go.
At the moment it's either Amsterdam, Miami or Toronto if I can afford it (which I doubt!).
Need idea's...

Go to Miami, you'll love it.
Toronto - in my opinion is really grotty you might as well go to London, the CN tower has a great view from the skypod but that's it.
Amsterdam - Only good with a load of mates (even then you can only stand 2 days max)
This year I'm going to Iceland for a weekend, Germany (black forest) for a weekend, and also somewhere warm mainland Spain or possibly Florida.

I've been to all the above (ok, so Amsterdam was not a vacation) and I think I had the best time @ Miami. Stayed in Miami Beach, had a nice appartment at the beach and lots of things to do and see.
Toronto was nice as well, but very urban. Miami is more balanced (as in: beaches, metro areas, nature --> Glades!)

I've been to Amsterdam before, twice. And loved it. We ended up going to the six flags theme park too which is ace! I just wished we had longer while we were there.
We went to Orlando last year. I wanted to spend a week in orlando and a week in miami but we had too much to do. And I lost 3 teeth to a coaster in Universal Studios. So couldn't do much for 2 days...
Maimi does look very nice. Apart from the guns, death and general dodgyness of the place.
I have relatives in Toronto. But I'd rather go during hockey season.
So if I can stop buying stuff for my polo (going to be hard with Inters coming up) I'm for Miami at the moment.

Yeah Miami does have it's no-go zones, but I didn't feel unsafe there. Which may be naive, but in general Rotterdam (where I live) can be a worse place to be IMO.
Toronto was cool too, but man, Miami has it all.

I was on the Hulk Roller Coaster.
The big green one that they used in House on Haunted hill.
And hit the side of my head. 2 teeth fell out, and cracked another. Quite painful at the time and the side of my face had swollen up.
Still two days later I was on the ride again.
No way I could get compensation either. The medical bill was over £300 but was covered on insurance, luckily.

Cool, I've been to Toronto before although I was a lot younger and with my parents, would like to go sometime again without the restraints of having adults!
As for this year I'm off to Japan in a couple of months. It's always been a place I want to visit, going for a couple of weeks, meeting a friend there and we are going to travel around for a while...so looking forward to it...especially since I've not been on holiday for four years!
