stuttering in low gears..?common problem? or just me?

Just got the car 2days ago and have been nice to drive and getting used to it.
However in the low gears such as pulling out of junctions i have it in first gear and pull away firmly and ocassionally at about 2500 -3500 revs the car can start feeling jumpy or stuttering whilst moving.
So is this me not driving right or a common problem ? or just another polo problem

Could be down the electronic fly-by-wire throttle being a bit sensitive? If so, you'll get used to it and learn to drive around this issue

Try cleaning the throtle body...
Replace HT leads and coil pack
Check for vacum leaks on the block/intake area
Plug in vag com and see if there are any assosiated fault codes....
Thatl get you started

yeahh may try cleaning the throttle first then see how it goes... i spoke to otherswho have the same car and they say its just how it is ^o)..and that the car isnt happy in low revs and is better in higher revs..
my last service was in july so wasnt too long ago..

It came up in vag com. After a bit of digging through the net, it appears that this is responsible for engine control at lower revs
If you put your headlights and air con on auto with the engine idling, does it start to hunt all over the place in pulses yosin?

alex i just tried it with the headlights on and air con on auto and the engine idles fine just below 1000. doesnt start to jump all over the place.. maybe a rare little decrease but it was fine for the last 10mins i was out there.

Hmmm what I would suggest for you is to clean the throttle body with some carb cleaner spray made by wynns
Has a purple cap and they sell it in halfords
That should fix it if its a dirty throttle

Get the check light cleared and see how it feels mate.
I had my engine check light come on not so long ago, and my car felt VERY unsettled (particularly in lower revs). As soon as the fault was cleared, it was fine.
Don't have a clue how/why this happened but it's worth doing, as it fixed mine!
Once it's cleared clean the Throttle body, regardless of if the fault stops or not!

Go to a local garage unless you want to pay VW £60 quid to do the same job a local may even do for free! lol

Yep, anywhere with vagcom will be able to do it. So VW/Audi dedicated garages are your best bet.
