Hi just thought Id say hi to you guys, love the site but have only just joined as i have bought myself a tidy little 16v. I bought it off eBay a month ago, 5 days later i did a 1800 mile road trip from Leeds to the south of France via London, Paris, Munich Oktoberfest, the Stelvio pass and the Austrian, Italian, Swiss and french alps.
So far ive only put a pipercross air filter on but when i come home in December im thinking of ronals and dropping it slightly.... and one day a 20v!
Hope you like it.

Cheers mate, some unbelievable roads! Top gear said the stelvio pass is the best road in the world...... it is one of them but every corner you have to drop it into 1st and full lock it to get round the hairpins. i prefer the roads going into Switzerland.

yeah she is! and she was in there by herself! HA!
The car was wicked, on my first tank of fuel I managed 472 miles on 43 liters, close i know but that's 49.9 mpg, didn't expect to get that, but then the exhaust between the cat and the silencer decided to totally separate (500 miles in) so i sounded like an ultimate British boy racer cruising through the sleepy villages of the alps! Apart from that it was sweet.

Haha...sweet.... Looks like your ladyfriend was a bit happier than mine...
3000 miles in a polo is an awful long way if the lass you are with has serious issues with EVERTHING!..
