After purchasing a shed that broke down on me and having to take it back to the garage I bought it from, I finally ended up with this baby ! (with the intension of having it as a cheap runaround) as I now only work about 5 mins / miles from home.

REALLY happy with her, but tonight have found out that it needs a new front bumper as the current one is damaged beyond repair and the bit just underneath the front grill.

Just had a new windscreen as the current one had a chip in it.

Few scratches need sorting on it, nothing t-cut wont fix. (for most of them)

Any advice on gettin a new 16v front bumper and some new foglights ?

Should really keep it standard, but have gotten the bug back of modding from when I used to have a mk2 golf (ended up putting a 20VT in it)

If I do anything to the Polo, all I know it that it will have subtle mods (at first). I dont want it to look like a dogs dinner, I think if anything, something worty of an edition38 look.

Idea's do far;

FK Power Look Black Headlights
BBS Wide Rims
Lowering (not sure how much)
Mk5 Polo Door Mirrors

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Run arounds never seem to stay as run arounds do they

Just keep an eye out on forums like this, and eBay for 16 bumpers mate. They're always popping up.

Where are you based?

Just wait around and check breakers yards and you'll get lucky. Try Stevens Dismantlers in Chelmsford as they'll probably have it being VAG breakers only. Don't know if they deliver though

Give Stevens VW Dismantlers a call, search them in google. Prices are somewhat higher then usual but quite good with stock and parts.

They came with it.

I think they were standard on some of the Polo's and Mk3 Golfs and Corrado's. They are called BBS Solitude Alloys

They are 15"

That is a plan, but need to get it past the mrs first ! ;-) She's a bit high maintainence !

its ok for her to spend £40 on expensive makup, but god forbid, I spend the same on a bumper and all hell brakes loose !!
