Just read the whole thread,
thats just insane. At one point he has to remove a sticky mark that will be hidden anyway. Serious car care going on there. Do you think it goes anywhere?

Sorry but that is ridiculous. At the end of the day its still a Vauxhall, I very much doubt people with Veron's, Ferrari's etc even take that good care.

Bet he's single.

Putting your name a chrome filler cap with the number of your car is just sad.

Yeah, but I doubt they take it to get cleaned every 3 days and clean their alloys 3 to 5 times a week. Hell, I don't see how that guy has time to drive his car.

So what, it's his car? He can do whatever the hell he wants to it. He didn't pay for it to be done, he just wanted to make his car very, very shiny. It's a nice Astra regardless, and it's pretty unique.

Any queries, please refer to my sig.

Yeah each to their own or whatever.

But to go over every panel with a paint depth gauge before accepting delivery, and then contemplating rejecting it due to a 0.5mm paint blob is quite frankly sad.

Just read the whole thing. It's pretty impressive. The guy's got dedication. Takes it wayy too far in places though. 51 coats of polish, 3 coats a day over 3 weeks is just excessive.

My girlfriend raised a good point. Yeah, cleaning the car like that retains it value, but surely the cost of all that cleaning stuff etc just means you end up losing more money...

Of course it does. It's not about making money though, car detailing and modifying never is.
