My car service light has just come on but i'm wondering whether i really need it done as my car hasn't done many miles this year. I had a service this time last year at 83,000 miles, and my book says the next is due at 92,000, but i've been travelling in the past year so the car hasn't been used half as much and i'm only up to 87,500 miles.
So should i wait until it gets nearer 92,000 miles, or take it in anyway?

What he said... Service is 10,000 miles or every year... whatever comes first...
Change the oil and filter.... Check the airfilter is clear....Give the car a quick look over underneath to make sure nothing is hanging off..... and jobs a goodun!
If your not happy doing it yourself, pop over to mine with the bits and pieces and il happily show you whats what...

Cheers for the offer mate, ended up doing it at a mates at the weekend as he has all the gear and 10% discount at GSF!
Changed all the wipers, oil and oil filter. Checked the air filter and looked fine so didn't change it, didn't bother checking the plugs as they've only done about 15k miles and checked the pollen filter to find 10 ton of crap and dried leaves (no idea how it all got there), so going to have to replace that too.
On another note my washer fluid is leaking from the right side of the car, is this a common problem and how do i fix it? I think it might be coming from the headlight washer, is it a pain to get into it and check?
