hey i have a 1989 polo ranger 1.3...
when i put my clutch in to change gear and slow down the engine cuts out and occasionaly loses power. can any one tell me what might be wrong? The engine still idles fine and it dosent cut out every time i gear down.

could be carb freeze or a air leak on the carb mounting mate


try spraying carb cleaner in carb when running and after thats cleared

spray around base of carb and listen for any difference in engine idle


make sure you have all the pipes on properly and if needs be have the warm air feed secure
