Just about 2 send my shell off 2 the bodyshop and i was wondering how far out people have had there arches flared?

thinking about going mad and getting them pushed out 2 the max (or bigger arches welded in?)

so how far have u gone and pics please?

Proberly one for tim and his amazing collection of gti pics!

its all about how much you are willing to spend and also if you are going to fill the arches with decent wheels....

the front ones are the problem, the arch can take a pretty wide wheel but the bolt that joins the front bumper is what catches on the tyre

money isnt a problem!

im just trying 2 decide ither 2 go for a small a suttle flare or 2 go nuts and get them pushed out 2 the max or even get arch extensions made and welded in!

depends on how wide the wheels are and the offset and how much of a stretch you are willing to run on the tyre.

if you are gonna do it you should go for 16" RS's with like 9"+ on the back..that would look sicko

proplem is if you go 2 big on the back with small wheels on the front u just make the car understeer like hell!

so what ever i did on the back i would want somthing close on the front

bad point about front wheel drive!

i didnt say money was the issue, the joint at which the bumper is held to the car is the issue
