Trying to run the amp power cable through the bulkhead, have gone through this grommit as shown on someones pic i found




fed loads of wire through, but i cant find it on inside, pulled the carpet forward etc, sound deadning,

where should the cable come out???

Comes out up behind the glove box - it can be difficult to get your hands up there and grab it. Just put your hand up behind and you'll find the big wiring loom that comes through that grommet. You should then be able to find the power cable from there

lol i tried that and cut my hand on something, might be easier when its light out, im so impatient tho!

ill try again in morning then mate, cheers, i was more worried that it didnt even come out in the car

lol i did that too. Try doing it on a GTI - youve got about as much space as a the gap between closed doors!

I took my glovebox out, made it uber easy. Especially as I needed to feed a USB wire into glovebox, plus made easy work of feeding cabling away from HU as I fitted it in. Makes it more difficult if you have an airbag there tho!

done it one swollen cut finger later

lol well it sounds good but can hardly drive with a finger thats double size lol

lol yeh my neighbours must have thought i was mad, freezing cold in dark fitting wires

may be an old post but im having trouble,

where abouts in glove box will it be? left up middle down ?

i cnt find it anywhere? and i feeded the hole cable through.

i have a/c so i think thats the problem cause there is a huge box in there.

Its up the back behind the AC unit - absolute pain if you have AC. I had a very sore bleeding hand afterwards

which side of the air con unit mate? which side did you go from etc?

surely as i put the hole cable through it would come out somewhere?

It comes out behind the insulation. Its up on the right hand side of the AC unit. You have to pull the carpet and stuff down behind it.

ok i can see the installation from the left hand side looking up,


which side is it from the insulation?

and did u go up from the left or the right side?
