central locking key

I think the battery on my key needs changing as i have to be next to the car for it to open. I've got the batterys etc but what i wanted to know is is it ok to just change them over? Or do you have to re-programme/link the key back to the car?

You can change the battery in the key at any time without needing to re-program or re-synchronise the key in any way. Just swap the old one out and you're done!
