Goodridge braided brake hoses: a definitive answer

Hi all,

Some of you may remember that my car failed its MOT last year as the original front (rubber) brake hoses had gotten very very close to wearing through by rubbing against the suspension components! So I have replaced like for like, for now...

I want to buy and fit some Goodridge stainless braided hoses and need to know which part numbers are required in order to get the right parts. All I have got is some info that suggests that I need a 6-line kit?

Also... following on from a comment in 1der's thread, are all Goodridge hose kits braided and clear-lacquered/coated?

Cheers :)

I've got the packet mine came in up in my garage loft I think. I'm planning on going up there tonight. I'll make a note for the part number. Only thing is the back ones don't fit. Probably wouldn't make much difference anyway as there about 4 inches long.

Whats wrong about the rear hoses? Too long / too short?

It was so long ago I fitted them, I think it was that they would fit, but the nut the you have to use to screw them in wouldn't go through a hole that that you needed to put it thru to get them on as it was too big.

Hope that makes some kinda sense

I decided that therefor it was more hassle than it was worth
