Has anyone done this mod??? Looking at a few reviews on this and get mixed opinions. Heard the lightend flywheel rattles a bit??

dunno i need some info on a clutch upgrade , but gunna wait till mine is cooked b4 i bother changing it!!

you can get flywheel chatter on 6 speed boxes with solid fly/w, never heard chatter noise on a solid 5 speed with solid fly/w

if you go big power you have almost got to go solid flywheel and ditch the dual mass

I have a single mass lightened flywheel, yes you do get a little chatter but from memory only in neutral and clutch disengaged so its not that much of an issue and not that loud. that combined with a aftermarket clutch kit i went from putting out 114kw atw on a dyno (the stock clutch was stuffed when they changed my gearbox under warranty) with Custom Code to 131kw atw.

I bought the clutch assembly second hand from my Custom Code dealer so i will try and find out exactly what it is.

Dont think a would like the chattering tbh, so i wouldnt bother lightening the flywheel as a lot of ppl do. It is still a lot lighter than the current set up anyway on the 1.8T and its meant to make a bit of a difference. Not plannin on doing it anytime soon as Milltek will be 1st once they release it! Feels like it been frickin ages waitin on it!!!!!!

I thought it was actually cause its single mass that makes it chatter not so much the lightening of it, although i could be wrong. And honestly you barely notice it.

Some info from another forum i read about it. Seem a ggod mod to do, not expensive eithers Not sure about lightening it tho

polo is an 02R not an o2j all mine came form the good old usa rated to 525 of Torque

can get them from the us but exhange rate is poor mate
