In Need of a new clutch

Clutch is going and is killing my gearbox *crunch!*
any ideas where i can get a decent clutch from and prices etc.
any help would be appreicated. thanks!

Yep, get a SACHS clutch kit, GSF can get hold of them for around £86. They don't stock them but can order straight from SACHS.
Part number - 3000 581 001
VW will charge you double that for a factory reconned clutch. Which although is decent enough, it's twice the price, you need to exchange your old one, and the SACHS is smoother
Don't let a garage source you one, as they're likely to pick up a bunk cheap kit which will be just as bad as your current one. Just speaking from my own experiences.

a sachs is the best for them i got mine form gsf and there are really cheap if you cant do it your self or dont have the time like i dint then mr clutch done mine while i was at work

Ive just bought a a LUK clutch from GSF, are they any good? Or am i better of returning it and getting a SACHS clutch?

LUK are classed as OEM replacements, very decent kits as far as I'm aware. I wouldn't bother returning it though unless the price margin is considerably different, i.e much more than £86
