Anyone have any idea what the engine codes relate to and why they have come up?

(I replaced a faulty water temp probe a few months ago.. so I assume that error log was from then, rather than a recent one)

I have cleared them.. but I imagine they will return...

And...anyone care to hazard a guess what any of the others relate to?

Really worried about the engine... I am about to do a cambelt...and might as well do anything else thats needed whilst its appart...

looks like BOTH lambda sensors are kaput? B1 is the first one being Bank1 and a temperature sensor, and probably an airflow meter too

saying that though, your CAT could be on its way...

There were no unusal readings at the last MOT to suggest a failing CAT....

Its weird.. I cleared the codes last night... Drove to work this morning and then did the same stop start drive home... and the engine check light came on at exactly the same time as before..comming up a steepish hill in 1st/2nd in traffic...

I ran VAG-COm again when I got back and the only thing in the engine report this time was a faulty engine temp sensor.... which I only replaced a few months ago..FFS...

Im wondering if all these faults are caused by the same thing... a dodgy cable/connector somewhere....

The air con motor is nothing to worry about (HVAC). It only needs to be replaced when the air con stops directing air properly.

Temp sensor may well be a dodgy connection - have a look to make sure the connections are clean. Was it a gen VW sensor?

As for the lambdas, it sounds like a possible short circuit. Have a look to make sure the wiring is intact and that nothing is touching or split.

No, the temp sensor was a replacement part from the local motor factors....its the right colour and part number..... I guess the official VW one might be slightly different.......possilbly.... its not showing any errors on the dashboard temp guage though which the old dodgy one did....

...As for damaged lambda wiring... I have to do the cambelt next weekend so I will have a good shufty around under the car when the undertray is off and see whats what.,....inspect everything in the hope that I get lucky and find the fualt...
