Hi

Have had pipercross induction kit on for past few years, for a long time now car has been using allot of oil, never leaked or smoked,so
assumed it would be piston rings, turns out engine is strong and rings are fine, turns out their was a blocked pipe somewhere along the line so
somehow air filter was sucking in allot of oil.
Anyway now need to try and re-fit standard air box, just hope i have all the parts i need,in the pics is all that i have, can anyone tell me if missing anything.
I no i am missing the 4 screws from engine cover, any ideas what size and where i can get these?
Then on the actual air box,ive only got 3 screws, space 4 6.Not to sure if i have screwed any in on car to keep safe as have not got car with me.
Would be great if i could just buy all the screws that go with air box and pipes, any ideas where i could get them all?
Do you reckon vw garage would be any help if took parts in to parts department and said what fixings do i need?
Also need to try and get new panle filter, doesnt look to good, any particular one that i should go for.

any help would be great.

thanks

Yep all the parts are there. For screws either contact someone breaking a 6N2, or like you said go to the dealers and ask for some.

K&N do a panel filter, or for an OEM one ring GSF,.

Explain your problem a little further though?

The screws that hold the airbox lid on are some buggery selftapping things which are probs best sourced from VW...(although if you have 4 out of the six... you would proberably be ok with just them providing you seat the filter properly and tighten them up just enough... (over tighten and they will bugger up the plastic!)

The four bolts for the engine cover are just M6.... I bought some stainless steel socket head button screws from screwfix (£4 for a pack of 100) and use those... looks much tidyer than the rusty pile-o-nails from VW...

The pannel filter should be available from your local car parts place... (infact... you could try them for the airbox screws too!)

There is a bolt missing in the photo that holds the tuby assembly garbage onto the chassis just below the power steering reservour... its a b***h to get at unlesss you undo the two nuts that hold the PAS tank inplace...... that is also M6 I believe...
