Hi all

As said just bought a Y reg red gti with 42k miles and fvwsh... but I don't collect till Sat :(

Only minor problem with the car is the usual corroded std alloys... will have to find someone willing to do a good job in my area (if anyone knows someone near Croydon thats good let me know)

Just been checking out insurance and looking at £300 for the year fully comp so not too bad. Ah the joy of being 28!

Thanks to all for the help sticky's at the top as they saved me asking lots of silly questions prior to buying.

Will have to post pics once I have got the car... well maybe the day after as I plan to drive it for the day when I pick it up.

Well its already started... today I bought an Enfig S2000 aerial and I don't even have the car yet.

Planning to keep her as OEM as possible but must remember to refurb the alloys first before I spend any more on the car.

Well picked up "Gracey" yesterday morning and she's lovely.

A couple of small things on the to do list...

Alloys are badly corroded... must find somewhere soon to refurb at a decent priceor I will just buy some new ones.
Rear bumper has a slight parking scrape that will hopefully polish out.
Rear brakes are slightly binding from the car being on a forecourt for 3 weeks ... may get the car into kwik fit across the road from me as I am no mechanic.

Will post pics asap but the rain will delay pics.
