I take it from what you are saying is the centre consul.

1. put your hand at the back of the consul where the cup holders are and lift up from the rear and be careful this will lift the plastic over the hand brake cover and give you access to the adjuster and the nuts that retain the handbrake in place. hope this helps. you will need to slacken the handbrake adjuster fully off before removing the handbrake .

To fit the handbrake it's much much simpler than that. Alll your doing it replacing the sleeve, not any mechanics so to speak at all.

When you've recieved your new handbrake sleeve, turn it upside and notice a tab on the underside, this is all that holds the sleeve on.

You simply get a stubby flat head screwdriver and gently force the tab on the old sleeve downwards, then slide it straight off.

The new one will just slide back over and click in place.

Takes two minutes
