Craneys Polo - Updated :D

Hey guys i'm James turned 17 in february doing a maintenance engineer aprentaship at toyota and recently purchased a "P" reg-96 white 5 door polo (i know 5 door SH). It has 60,000 on the clocks and is in reasonably good condition, obviously as my first car i want to take some pride in it even though it only set me back £600 from a guy i know.
The car was bog standard when i got it a few weeks ago, here are a few photos (i debadged it then took photo's the badges weren't already gone).

I then decided to start with the basics (light fittings) so i ordered clear lenses, including rear to my studity which when they turned up appeared to be lexus so i fitted them all anyhow, at this stage it looked like this...I also took the bump strips off.

As you can see yourself the lexus lights aren't the best look so as expected i've removed them and put the old ones back on and tinted them (sorry about picture quality it was taken at night will get new soon).

Aswell as this i picked up a cheap 1000W fli sub with built in amp and a fli head unit for £150 all together which isn't to bad.

Looking to get:
Alpine door speakers.
Vibe 6x9's.
Debadged front grill, this style or mesh? Undecided.
Some new alloys when i find some at a not to expensive price :P
Maybe bucket seats also undecided if not then GTI interior.
Also ordering coilovers this weekend.
Cheers for reading any comments or anything you advise?

Looks like a good base car to start with, glad you saw sense & removed the lex-arse lights!

Plenty of work on the 'to do' list, just btake your time & spend once/spend wisely (lesson 1: Don't buy/fit Lexus lights!). Have a look around this site (& others)for inspiration, & then look at what you need to acheive the 'look' you want.

If you look in the DIY guides you'll find how to fit mk3 Golf GTI Recaro's into a Polo (fronts slot straight in,rears take a bit of a mod). Just an idea for ya!

Looking good! :)

Need either a 'euro-style' badgeless grille, or revert back to silver front badge. Doesn't quite look right against the white car. :?

Plus those arches need filling with 'phat' rubber!

Hmm not sure man the plain grill is overused now and the silver is boring i think this is tidy i'll see what others say :P
It's a 6n2 black & grey badge lol.
I'm looking for some new alloys but can't find any i want at my price so will be a while as i will have to save.
