Hi all ,

I am looking for a 'tow bar' for my girlfriends X reg Polo 6N2 GTi!

1) Can you get them?
2) Has anyone fitted one, and are they ok?
3) Where can I get one from?

All advice, guidance and opinions is much appreciated!

If you are planning to two anything heavy with a lot of people in the car... dont! The gearbox will implode leaving a black sticky hole in the universe!

Well dont get a towbar, As a sports hatch light weight tunned car it would make u look all silly and yes the universe will die due to the gearbox,

Couldnt u not sell the gti to fund for a bigger car?

I agree, not a good idea at all. Ruin the look of the car and strain the poor gearbox.

I remember when I had 5 people in my Polo and it barely moved!

What are you planning on towing?

I am going to use the car to tow a small, lightweight single mototbike trailer so I can take my Honda FireBlade to track days!

Both the combined weight of the trailer and bike weigh next to nothing!

Apologies to those guys that think it wont look 'cool', but hey...each to their own! It wont be permantly mounted on the car, only on track days!
