Ok, bit of a weird one!

With all this hot weather lately I've been using my Climatronic. It doesn't work right and think it needs a recharge as the LO setting just isn't cold anymore.
The weird thing is though, when the car is stationary, say in traffic, the air-con kicks out a weird smell - a bit like warm ham. Kinda mags you gag a bit at first.
It only does it on the LO setting and only when you come to a halt.

Any ideas?

My guess is... when you stop moving there is no airflow over the condensor at the front of the car causing the aircon to drop efficiency.... this means that the air will warm slightly in the evaporator causing the smell....

You need to get the system re-gassed and also might be worth while setting off one of those anti-fungal bombs inside the car with the air con running to try and kill the smell off.....

Coolio - I will get it booked in for a re-gas.
Like the idea of the anti-fungal bomb! Will let you know how that goes.
