iPod connection to standard HU...

Does the standard HU in my GTi have a connection for an iPod cable? If so, do VW sell a cable suitable and do 2g iPhone's work on it? Don't really want an aftermarket HU :\

i think there's something you can buy that goes into the CD multi changer, but you have to have a box in the glove compartment .. i think ..

Is this how VW do it if you choose the iPod connection as an extra?
