Wee problem! wheres the polo mk 4 experts?

temp light keeps flashing up on dash, have replaced the sensor under the bonnet after a few reccomendations and still no joy have also tried disconnecting the switch at the expansion/water tank, temp isnt going past half way which im told is completely normal. does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? if so can they drop me a email at the address below n let me know asap please.

ok after taking it to an audi/VW garage its now went off....was on when i got there but when i stopped the engine and went in n got the mechanic who revved the arse out of it, it wouldnt go on again.....even after takin it 4 a long drive. is it a case of reset of the ECU? if so can it be manually done?

Just disconnect the battery for an hour, which resets the ECU.

I have the same problem as you, did you try what Noz advised you if so did it work and did you encounter any other problem?

it didnt work, the light went off for no more than a day then back to flashin up...any luck on yours?
