help with wiring amp + speakers

ok folks, i bought a 2 channel amp a while ago and 6.5 componant speakers what came with crossovers and tweekers,
but dont have a clue where to put what cable and if i was to put the speakers in the door, would i just wire them from the boot?
help please

It's best to do a bit of research really before jumping straight in.
Best place to search is here:

They've got tonnes of good tutorials on there.
With speakers and an amp though, you need:
Power to the amp: power from the battery to amp.
Ground to amp: solid metal point on your car to amp.
Remote to amp: thin wire that goes from the head unit to amp.
Speaker wires: going from your components to amp.
Each different wire requires a different gauge and connector. Have a read up on some stuff, and any detailed problems just shout.

cool thanks.
now i am puzzled, i just took off the door trim and i snapped a couple of the plug things what can i do about that? and the old speakers that are in are riveted in how do i get them out?

What plug things are you referring to? The old speakers will come out with a bit of persuasion.

thanks and its the clip plug type things that hold the trim onto the door
