Whats that on the rear light?

I'm afraid it's a good old pair of tights at the moment, looking to get a set of 9n3 rear lights for it.

Also i got quoted around £200 for the colour code (which sounded abit much?), the guy said i would need to buy pre primed strips but surely the originals could just be sanded down until they are smooth?

Thinking of painting the mirrors Gloss Black too

I know a lad selling a set of 30mm Eibach lowering springs if your interested £50 iirc only covered a few thousand used to be mine

Yeah you can sand the bump strips and prime them.

9n3 rear light require some work to the wiring

i'll have to wait a while till pay day :/ but thats sounds cheap to me.

you got a pic with them on the car?

How much should i be paying for the colour code do you recon then?

Colour coding if you do all the prep work on the rub strips would be a lot cheaper, try asking a few different body shops to get a rough idea

For the rear lights K.I.T.T on here is in the process of making an adaptor so no work needed

Don't mean to sound out of step here....

...but I hope you intend to declare some of those MODs to your Insurance Co. - you may find that some MODs may load your premium further being a 'new driver'. Might be worth waiting before you go storming into things like bling alloys / lowering / bodykit etc. ...

Don't worry those plans wont be happening in the near future but everything i do will be declared =]

I sanded and primed my own strips but it took a whole weekend....

How much did the body shop charge for the spray if you sanded and primed yourself?

hi just have look in this web for polo bodykits http://www.parts-depot.co.uk/shop/ go down the vw bit and kit this is my polo just have a good look on ebay

I got my kit sprayed and fitted at the same time for £350. I would imagine it would be about £150 for just the bump strips. They always charge a min amount as an initial cost.

To be honest I would spray the strips myself, you can get away with a lot more flaws on the narrow surface. If you do the lacquer right and wet+dry/mop it after a couple of weeks of hardening you will be fine.

30mm lowering springs you can barely tell the difference unless your parked up next to a standard height 9n. Just wait and buy a decent set of coilies.... will be worth the wait. You'll only end up buying coilies in the end anyway haha.

Angel eyes are a pain if a bulb goes. Been there done that and went back to standard lights (Sprayed the insides of the lights while they were off the car )
