Does anyone know what ill have to change on my 1.9Pd100 (remapped) so that the turbo from the pd130 would fit (most likely from a vrs). as i dont know if its a straight bolt on or not. its actually a 9n3 but theres more tdi owners in this section then in that so i posted here i know some people say put on the PD150 turbo from the golf but i dont want to LOL

Yes I gatherd I'm jus worried bout the turbo unit itself r pipes gna need changin bolt patterns same etc. If I get everythin at once then a can throw it all on in 1 go

Best bet is to get yourself over on Briskoda, when I was there last a lot of people had done the conversion to 100bhp Fabias. I think to get the advantage you'll need injectors and intercooler but as far as just a bolt on swap I'm not sure. Do you have the actuator etc with the turbo?

Maybe someone here knows the intricacies between the TDI 100 and GT 130?

at the moment i havnt bought anything yet just trying to figure out what i exactly i need and then i can buy it all at once ill check bri skoda out

Right after checking out Briskoda aparently the turbo fits straight on however the intercooler pipe and turbo inlet pipe may need changing, ive got hold of a vRs Turbo now with actuator and stuff, i think i mite need the intercooler tho not sure. then can get on with the fitting and maybe some injectors

RE: Injectors, I'd get some advice from a mapping place, often people uprate for no reason other than chasing stats, you might be OK with the current ones.

do you have any ideas on the pipe he sed the turbo inlet pipe mite need changing (dont have a clue wat it is) and the intercooler pipe. but if were changing the cooler pipe the cooler probly needs changing too ? rite

In terms of pipes it really depends if you want it to bolt straight up or whether you can make adaptors for the existing pipework to mate to the new turbo etc.

You will need the help of someone with access to a manual / parts catalogue. My friend and I have the 130 and 100 respectively, so if you could get this situation you could do a side by side comparison.

I think the intercooler is different but not sure if the diameters are the same of the inlet and outlet.

As far as the inlet goes I presume it's the air intake side of the turbo. I think you could probably get something to adapt the existing one.....

when i was on briskoda i herd of some people having sum sort of adaptors for the turbo from jabba sports, do you have any idea on what they are? also does the air intake pipe section have to be connected to the air intake, i was thinking of puting a pipe there and throwing a cone filter on it ( it makes a funny sound chek the youtube link, but i like it ) but i was worried it would bring up sum MAF errors and start being funny. some one on a golf GT 170 has it here but he wont tell anyone how hes done it.

No, I'd make/get an adaptor to make the existing filter/intake setup fit. That would be less hassle than trying to remove the sensors as they are located on the intake side. It's only 2 diameters after all so can't be that hard to get fabricated.

On the first link it's all over the page on how to make the "dose" effect (never heard of it, I assume it's an alternative to the butterfly valve noise that diesels don't get anyway)

I've come accross this before when looking rs turbo's ( i wanted one ages ago lol)

It is caused by the boost being forced back through the turbo blades and being chopped up making that flutter/dose sound.

It's done by running a turbo system with no method of venting boost pressure ie blow of valve re circulating dump valve etc. So when your spooling up the turbo usually on full throttle and then shut off the power the throttle body closes leaving the pressurised air no where to go but back where it came from - back out the intake pipe.

You can make this louder by fitting a smaller intake pipe like the guys on the skyline club have done or by fitting a big fat induction kit.
