Hey guys,

The mats on my GTI are badly worn....drivers side has a hole in it.

How much is a set from VW? Or do you suggest custom made from somewhere else?

Thanks

Why even bother responding to a question if your gonna be a tool in the response??!!

Anyway, VW will charge you quite a lot for the mats, your looking upwards of £50. Otherwise quite a lot of places now do customised mats, ie:with logos and matching stiching &trim etc at fairly reasonable prices £20-30.

Ebay also has a range of mats for the 6n2 - no logos or anything but they have the locking clips, again reasonably priced (£10 -15) and they do the job

Volksbits also stock a range of mats - with the vw logo on try them on 0871 222 1754, my gf brought some from there place in bham and they were very good quality at a fraction of vw prices too.

IIRC VW stopped stocking them quite a while ago.

Yeh they don't make them any more, you can catch the odd set floating about though.

New front set is about £25 IIRC, you may struggle to find them though.

But to be honest, as nice as the GTi mats are, they aren't that well built, I'd use this an excuse to upgrade them all to some better ones. Justmatz do some good custom work.

Cheers Tim, just the answer I wanted.

I knew there was a decent company who did custom ones but couldn't think of it!

Thanks
