Hit a fox on the way home

As the title suggests, I hit a fox on the way home tonight. Was on a motorway so was a pretty big impact. The lower black mesh bit, the one between the fog lights is completely gone. The black skirt round the bottom is cracked and there is a bit missing from the bumper. Pretty annoyed to say the least!

Is anyone breaking a silver Gti?

I might be able to get away with replacing just the lower chin spoiler thing and the black mesh bit, anyone know the part numbers for these and how much they are roughly?

Cheers. Simon

Will get a photo up tomorrow.

So here was the damage:

And here is the temporary repair until I can get a cheap bumper from somewhere. Radiator is like a banana too, not leaking yet but worried its severely weakened :(

Oh well, could have been worse...

Fog light as well for yours, nightmare! If my car had been as low as yours then I'd have collected the fox in the bumper!!

which radiator is damaged? Is it the one closest to the front of the car, or the one behind.

only thing i needed was a new bumper and lower middle grill as the force of it snapped the clips, the foglight was fine! even the filler in the bumper didnt crack! so it jsut goes to show you that just filling the bumpers for smoothing them is fine!

It is the main radiator, engine not AC. The force of the impact pushed then bumper back which is screwed onto the rad cowling, so has torn the cowling and bent the radiator :( Driven 100 miles since and no sign of leak or coolant level going down, think it will be weakened though.

Thats what happened with mine the impact of the bump forced the back of the bumper into the radiator and put a dent in it
