Yea its nothing bad. new belt probably less than a fiver from local motorfactors.

Most do it on full lock, its the powersteering belt.

Just replace your alternator belt turk. Same goes for S Kayani ;)

GSF/euro do them for around a fiver, but be sure to measure the old belt, as they are good at giving the wrong belts out. Id probably be tempted to a get a genuine VW one, but hey thats just me lol

On the polos, the auxilliary drive belt (if were being specific lol!) runs the alternator, power steering pump and air con pump.

Its very easy to fit - simply take off the drivers wheel. Make a note of the routing of the belt as its currently fitted. Get a 17mm socket on the tensioner - its spring loaded, so you have to untension the belt and remove it whilst keeping it untensioned. Refitting is a reverse of removal
