ipod mount

looking advice on mounting my ipod, somewhere on the dash, any advice/pics would be great, its for a 6n2

Not sure if this will be any help...
I havent got a mount as such, but I have the VW Ipod cable that lets you play/charge your Ipod. The cable runs from the back of the headunit into the little cubby hole underneath the lights switch through the fuse box. I think its quite a good place, as its not very visable, and you dont need a mount as you can change tracks etc through the headunit.

How hard is this to do?
I bought myself one of those tape things for my ipod, but my cassette player is broke, just says disc error when i put in any tape, with or without a cable.
Also, the sound quality is better this way isnt it?

Yes the quality is full, as appose to the dodgy quality you get out of a cassette player. Dead easy mate, just pop your headunit out and run the lead !

Too seconds if you have the right keys! Are you referring to an OEM unit? or aftermarket?

oem head-unit.
been told there quite hard to remove
my cassette wont accept tapes, so no way i can have my ipod in my car.

Indeed. Just need two removal keys (halfords, vw, screwfix etc), or two strips of credit card or similar cut like this:
