My Driver Side window currently has the same problem and a quick fix solution is to grease the window seals. This cured my problem for around 4 months but its only temporary and once the grease wears off it will need doing again.
It will require a new regulator but you can put that off with the grease which is exactly what I did.
If you really want to cure the problem though you will need to get a new regulator from Volkswagen or VAG parts etc

I managed to fix my regulator when the clips snapped myself.
Pretty easy fix to be honest, just 2 screws and two washers. Its stronger than a new one from VW and has been "fixed" for over a year now with no problems.

sounds like it could be the regulator? where do i find that?
might try greasing it, if that dont work, or it snaps might try the repair...any ideas on a price for a new one?

Yeah, seems like a pretty common problem. mine used to do it, I solved it with a zip tie

The window fell off one of the plastic clips on the window guides, causing the window to come up at an angle. I just placed the window back onto the clip and secured it with a ziptie...

Yes, you have to remove the door card. It's an easy job, though. two screws on the handle and its just clipped on from there on.

under the front plate of the door handle. You need to carefully lever it off by getting a screwdriver and putting it in the gap where the door pull and the plastic meet. There is also a screw in the top corner closest to the front of the car which needs undoing.
