If you had 0 camber at the front you would have some serious issues going around corners and keeping grip...

Really? As I'm negative 1 point something, and it's clearly not factory spec'ed camber. It's negative visibly by eye, where as factory looks straight.

That doesn't tell me anything I don't know about camber 8). It just says negative is good on the outside wheel when cornering, positive is good on the inside when, and 0 angle camber is best when driving straight. Which means the original question stands.

End of the day Dan, if your camber needs sorting out take it to someone who knows what they're doing and discuss it with them. When I had mine done mine was set to negative 1 point something (maybe 1.2?), had it for a while and it handles great. At the time I thought it was because that's as straight as they could get it, but maybe that's what they were aiming for as Duncan suggests as to me it does make sense to be slight in the negative.

OKAY, i did have a full printout of the polo camber, toe caster specs etc. but i left it at the garage. what a doughnut. So the factor spec camber should be the range between -10 and -50, not 100% sure what unit that is.. degrees i asume. but overall the camber should be slightly negative. hope this helps

Nice one dude.

I wonder what mine's set to in relation to that then. As the mechanic told me mine in decimal place measurements... hhmmm.

Erm that doesnt really make any sense. Camber is generally measured in degrees. I think standard is around -1 degs ( negative is like this / \ looking towards the front of the car). You have want it more cambered, i.e. -1.5 degree if your wearing the outside of your tyres - hard cornering.
