Hi people, first post on here so go easy on me please, lol.

Anyway ive had my 9n for about a year now n just decided that its time for a few changes.

Am starting with coilies and am also gunna change the bushes front to back, so my question is, what bushes should i use? Ive read that my best bet is to use powerflex and cupra console bushes on the front, does this sound about right? Not really found much on what to use on the rear beam tho so could anybody reccomend anything? Ive just rung seat and been told that they supply front cupra console bushes to vw n skoda owners but he wernt sure that the rear beam bushes off the cupra would fit, so is poweflex best for the back?

Any help and advice would be much appreciated! Cheers.

hi
i did the front ones on my car about 9 months ago using the powerflex/seat bushes combo. took me a while being a bit of a novice but with a haynes manual and various how to guides it wasn't too bad. made a big difference and and still feels nice and tighter. put some ta technix coilovers on - they are a bit crashy but do the job. i did see a how to guide on doing the rear bushes with powerflex ones but haven't done mine as it looked a bit too involved.
cheers,
si

Where did you see the guide on the rear bushes?

i can't remember it was part of a guide on fitting the front bushes and suspension - i printed it all out when i did my car. i'll have to have a dig about for it. from memory it involved taking everything to bits and removing the rear axle.

Cheers lads, nice replies! Its always good to get the know how from people who have been there n bought the t shirt so to speak. And knowing the part numbers will save me a bit of fannying about for a start. Powerflex sounds like its gunna be the best if not the only option for the back and thatll do me to be honest. Id also like to av a gander at the guide for doing the rears though, i wondered if it would be possible to leave the axle in place and just press the bushes in whilst axle is still on car id rather leave the break pipes and what not alone if i can help it. Anybody had experience of this?

Thanks!! for the offer of the fitting tool chewy but fortunately for me ive got access to a well equiped garage so specialist tools arent really hard for me to get hold of.
