rear middle seat head rest + painting original grill

hi everyone, i'm new to this forum but i've learned a lot in a few days :D
my question is, is there a "rear middle seat head rest" or some part like that? if there is, can i have the part number? i rarely drive with a 5th person but i like the look through the rear window 8) i think i've seen one on a polo 6n.
i'd also like to know, if i were up to painting my lower grill section and original front bumper, would there be a color mismatch with the body? maybe not immediately but in the later years, where the metallic paint wears aways faster than the black plastic section, or vice versa. (even if i follow the DIY guide for painting the front grill?) the color of my car is neon blue, with color coded side strips.
also has anyone added a rain sensor for the wipers and the auto dimming mirror? i think they come in one, the sensor is attached to the arm of the mirror. i'd appreciate your experiences
thanks for your replies everyone !!!

Hello mate, welcome to the forum 8)

There is indeed a rear middle headrest, but to get it you'd need a new rear upper seat base, which with the extra headrest would set you back at least £250 plus fitting. What i've been toying with is fitting two centre headrest in place of the two outer headrests to A) Get better visibility B) Because it looks nicer!

As for the colour mismatch, I can't really see any problems, as long your paying for good quality paint/workmanship and its prepped properly you should get a decent finish. You get what you pay for really, in which case I'd ask your dealer for local approved VAG bodyshops.

I don't think anyone has retrofitted the mirror yet because no one knows if the loom is there for it, plus the hassle involved doing it (removing/damaging headlining, trim etc). I know for a fact that the Dimming mirror and rain sensor loom are together though, but at £150, then another £150 for the mirror its an expensive mod for such little gains.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Neil

There was any problem fitting the center headrest in the outer ones? Or is it just remove the old and put the new one? I think it's a nice mod!

Also, is there anyone in this forum who ordered the polo with the 3rd central headrest AND rear center armrest? I wanted both but my dealer told me that they were incompatible: fitting the headrest would mean not having the armrest :( But later I saw pictures of polos with both things!

£250 is a bit steep for 1 more headrest!
