Understanding paint Codes!

Hi, i need to do a little bit of work to the bumper of my Silver 2005 VW Polo 9N3 (MK7), but i don't understand the paint codes.
Could someone tell me how they work???

Most probably gonna be LA7W (reflex silver).
To look for your paint code, check around the wheel well where your spare tyre is! Give this paint code to your local paint shop or Halfords and they should be able
to fix it up for you.

Your paint code is normally on the first page of your handbook as well.
