maybe

in theory you have alot more torq which cover up for the loss in bhp, but in higher gears it mite pull away,

From what I have been told by forums 9n3 GTI race expert

'Turbomier' that a GTI will be quicker on the start line, only place where a GTI might fail if it is was a rolling start but again that is just 'might'. Have a look at this by Turbomier

As said by the owner it was stock at the time of the race and am sure the owner will come along and confirm this for you! But the car is no longer running stock

Does it really matter? At the end of the day there's always going to be something faster / better out there. There's no point comparing apples to oranges. A remapped 9n3 GTi would kill a remapped PD100.

Didn't mean to put you off your car! End of the day it all depands on who is driving which includes reaction time, gear changes etc

Yeh! Love the MPG them TDi engine make

cant beat it! The reason I bought the GTI was mostly because I was sick and fedup with
my 1.2 9n worst engine VWs have ever made imo! When u put the accelerator down you got nothing but disappointment infact I would say the
the needle in the fuel gauge was quicker than the car
But now with the GTI yeah the MPG is obviously s**t but I only do about 100 miles a week so its more of a fun car

and lastly when u put the
throttle down no disappointment whatsoever.
