seat gliders

going to change these on my polo anyone done them before and what are they like to fit? moving the seat is like trying to push the car !

Probably just come dislodged. They are nylon runners, and required a high lube grease to keep them smooth. Try re greasing the runners first!

Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead, but my god, both my front seats are a nightmare to move!
I've tried putting copper grease / WD40 on the runners but it makes no difference whatsoever. And now, the little plasticy thing that goes on the front of the seat decided to come out last night, but the seat still moves, but you kinda have to lean back to 'click' it in place.
I'm s**t at explaining things, but basically both my seats are goosed and I'm in one because I haven't got a clue how to sort it.

Clear grease is what you need. Cooper grease and WD40 are not suitable - copper grease prevents metals bonding over time, and wd40 is a penetrant not a lubricant.
