"Gearbox selector shaft weeping oil slightly"

Hello boys and girls,

Had the Polo serviced at my local VW dealership whilst away in Austria, all went swimmingly and my wallet is now lighter. Noticed, on my return from said holiday, that on the receipt for the work there is a comment of "gearbox selector shaft weeping oil slightly". Anything to be concerned about?

Cheers

Si

Easy fix ... just needs a new selector seal. About 8 quid from TPS. Relatively easy to fix too!

Thanks Alex! Pick one up on Thursday and will get it fitted this weekend. Worth renewing the gearbox oil at the same time?

I would - again, get genuine VW gearbox oil - its the best!

Drain oil, fit new selector, refill oil :) happy days!
