ABS Light, again!

Right guys so the ABS light is now permanently on with VAG-COM come say no power to module. i've taken all the battery connectors off, cleaned them, put some copper grease on, but still no ABS! i've tried leaving the battery off for a few hours but still no hope. It started intermitantly coming on after i lightly hosed the engine bay..
Any ideas? unfortunately i'm looking to sell up so need to get this sorted

People really need to stop hosing the engine bay. Water and electrics really dont mix!!
Have you sanded the ABS fuse down joe?
You may have got water into the ABS connector in the pump unit itself, and it may have shorted the board. All you can do is have it apart and have a look inside if the fuse doesnt fix it.
BTW copper grease isnt particularly conductive - use WD40, contact cleaner or a silicon spray as thats a water repellant conductive solution

It's abit of a grey area, some people say its fine- others don't! i figured if i shorted the board then it would have been a gradual failure- not an intermittant one.
I'll give it another whirl tommorow- handy i have a spare ABS pump if all fails...

On older engines, I think its not so bad as tey done have so many sensors and electrics running all over the place. Modern engines have things everywhere that can be damaged with the lightest of sprinklings.
It could be gradual with water, but its more likely to have been a mix of two causes id say - useful spares!
