Making things more subtle - something new! (Pics!)

I've bought a little present for my car. Something I've wanted to do for a while but have always assumed it'd cost bucks to do - change my tailpipe.
For the last 4 years I've had this:
Not awful, but I've liked it less and less for ages, so I figured it was time for a change having had the car freshened up. So, I took it to Longlife in Cardiff for a quote, and ended up changing it on the spot. So now I've got what I want, and it's a lot nicer, more subtle and more suited to the car.
2.5" straight pipe, no outwardly rolled, inwardly rolled or styled stuff.
First glimpse of my paintwork for you guys too! But not much, you'll have to wait for the show season for that!
What do you reckon?

Looks nice!!
I'm digging the no-seams as well!!
edit: oops.. thought the seams were on the back like a mk2 Golf, but they are just round the sides... didn't fancy getting shot of them when it was painted??

I did think about smoothing them, but I quite like the way that the seam follows the line of the back lights.
Was just about to explain the bodywork I've had done, but that'd give the game away! There's a reason why I did it, other than neatening it up.
My old tailpipe's wrapped in tissue paper downstairs, had to keep it!

Hey Alex that looks really good mate. The paint is amazing they've done a really good job on that. When you got your pipe done how did you get that polished look. When I had mine done I wanted cut and polished pipes like yours but the piping was just dull stainless steel so I had to settle for inwardly rolled pipes. Did you get the pipe polished at the exhaust place or did you do it yourself?

It's the pipe they use for the tips of the exhausts. My old one was dull with a shiny tip welded on. When they cut that off they welded a straight section of polished stainless steel on instead.
